John Aiken

President

John Aiken is the President of Resonate Capital, LLC (“Resonate”). He acts as the Portfolio Manager for Resonate's clients. Mr. Aiken founded Resonate in February 2013. Before forming Resonate, he was a Managing Director and Head of Equity Research as well as the lead Internet Analyst at ITG/Majestic Research (“ITG/Majestic”). Mr. Aiken was the youngest Managing Director in ITG’s over 20 year publicly traded history and has 12 years of investment experience. He was an integral part of the management team that grew the Majestic Research organization from five employees to over 100 and provided a successful liquidity event for investors. At ITG/Majestic he was responsible for an equity research department of approximately 50 professionals as well as responsible for all aspects of the firm’s Internet research and strategy. He has regularly been quoted in the media, including The Wall Street Journal and New York Times, and has been profiled several times in Barron’s. Mr. Aiken received a Bachelor’s in Biological Statistics and Computational Biology with Distinction in Research from Cornell University and was awarded the departmental award for highest grade point average. He also received a Master’s in Operations Research concentrating in Financial Engineering from Columbia University.
